Aleksandra Kowalczyk

She studied cultural studies at the Institute of Polish Culture at the University of Warsaw and Bulgarian studies at the Institute of Western and Southern Slavic Studies at the University of Warsaw. Scholarship holder of the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv, where she learned Bulgarian folk singing. She works with voice practically and theoretically. She founded the vocal improvisation group Sirens. She has collaborated with the contemporary music magazine "Glissando" and the Węgajty Theatre. She conducts vocal workshops "Przędzalnia głosu". Her research interests include musical experience and the issue of voice in different cultures.
