I came into contact with the Węgajty Theatre during my studies in Polish philology at the Higher School of Pedagogy in Olsztyn. My thesis supervisor at the time suggested that I make contact with the regional artistic group and include the results of my research in my thesis. This is how the monograph of Performances was written: Historie dziwne, zaśnione, lecz niezmierne wyraźne... O prawdziwym Żydzie, Antychryście i Preoswieszczennym Metropolicie and Gospoda ku Wiecznemu Pokojowi.. After defending my MA thesis, I worked for a while in the office of the Węgajty Theatre, during performances I controlled the arrangement of decorations, gave props to the actors, and also took care of the little spectators. Unfortunately, to this day I have not learned to play the drum, despite Wacek Sobaszek's efforts. For three years, theatre was my life. I took part in expeditions, dance and music evenings, I went with the ensemble to festivals. The experiences of those times are still with me today. For the past twenty years I have been working as a Polish language teacher at Primary School No. 25 in Olsztyn. My pupils, like me, love theatre, and I teach them the most important values of art. We go together to see plays in Gdynia and Warsaw, and we regularly admire the plays staged in Olsztyn theatres. Thanks to this, young people are becoming more sensitive and open to art and beauty...
