Barbara Grzybowska

Educator, project coordinator, cultural animator, financial expert in NGOs, feminist. Graduate of the circus course at Performers House in Denmark and pedagogy in social and educational work in Bydgoszcz. She has been active in non-governmental organisations for twenty years. She deals with substantive and financial coordination of projects in the field of: education, social and cultural initiatives, human rights projects. She has been active in the field of administration and finance, implementing new systems and solutions for NGOs. She worked in the Stumilowy Las Association in Bydgoszcz, the Węgajty Theatre, the Campaign Against Homophobia and the Rescue Foundation. She organised circus-theatre projects for children in Poland and abroad – she ran art classes, was active in Bydgoszcz backyards and the democratic school. She has implemented several children's theatre projects as part of the Z. Raszewski Theatre Institute's "Summer in the Theatre'" programme. She played in circus-theatre performances, created theatrical masks, improvised while preparing vegan and vegetarian dishes during numerous workshops and as part of grassroots projects and collectives in Poland and the Netherlands. She participated in the work of the Węgajty Theatre: in the Other Theatre School, carolling expeditions to Nowica and Dąbrowa Dolna, the Alleluias expedition to the Suwałki region and Shrovetide. She co-created the performances: Water 2030 (2010) and Iwona poślubiona (2010). As part of Theatre Pedagogy in Action , she organised the Children's Festival and theatre work with children from the villages of Warmia (2009). She co-organised the Theatre Village festival (2009-2014), coordinating a team of volunteers, supporting logistical, billing and programming activities. Created a children's circus group that performed during this festival in 2011-2013.
