Daria Kozłowska-Wrona

She came to Węgajty for the Theatre Village festival (2004). She met wonderful people, saw intriguing performances, attended concerts and experienced everything that is special about this place: the space and the possibility to co-create. She took part in the open-air performance Missa Pagana , directed by Mieczysław Litwiński. She was the first to hear Radosław Nowakowski’s Monodrum. It was also there that she met Krzysztof Wrona. She soon moved to Dąbrowa Dolna in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. For several years she participated in Krzysztof Wrona’s theatre and music projects, the results of which were presented in Węgajty. Together with Wrona, she led workshops and painted the façade of the theatre. She designed the poster for Theatre Village (2010). The following year, she participated in the Carnival of Animals. and Shrovetide workshop. Her drawings from this work were published in the book Źródła i przyszłość. For years, in the forester’s lodge in Dąbrowa Dolna, she and her husband have received carol singers from the Other Theatre School travelling to Nowica. Each time it is a musical feast for her and an extraordinary exchange of creative experiences. During one such meeting, she dressed the carol singers in costumes of her own design referring to the Świętokrzyskie tradition. Afterwards, she joined the carol singers and set off for Nowica. During one of the Theatre Village festivals, she gave a concert combined with a presentation of her poetry by Erdmute Sobaszek. During one edition of ‘Sztuka w obejściu, she created a performative open-air action by hanging up textiles with poetry in the forest near the theatre. Performer and originator of the title of the performance All That Mess (2021). Co-creator of the action Poranek Walpurgii (2021). Individual exhibitions of her artwork were presented at the Węgajty Theatre (2008, 2022).
