Emilia Hagelganz

She was born in Novokuznetsk in 1981. A mother of two children, she lives and works as a theatre maker in the Ruhr district. She is a co-founder of the art collective Labsa and belongs to the artistic ensemble Transnationales Ensemble Labsa. She carries out artist’s projects, curates and regularly creates works with other artists on the following topics: the construction of a non-exclusionary society, socially underrepresented areas of history and issues of resistance and empowerment. Since 2003 she has collaborated with the Węgajty Theatre as a participant in workshops and expeditions, actress, performer, theatre educator, theatre and film maker, co-organiser of joint projects.
