She first came to Węgajty in 1982 for theatre workshops. She worked with the Węgajty Theatre from its foundation until 1989. For her, it was a time of learning about and being fascinated by traditional music, a time of meetings, musical journeys, carolling in the villages of the resettled Ukrainian communities in the north of Mazury and Lemkivshchyna. She participated in the work on The Vincenz Stories and co-created the musical setting of the performance, playing melodies from the Hutsul region together with Wolfgang Niklaus, Witek Broda, Anna Martyniak and Mariusz Papierski. The passions and friendships started in Węgajty resulted in cooperation and concerts in folk bands, such as: Sielska Kapela Weselna, Transkapela, Kwartet Wiejski, Wasilewski Family Band. Currently, together with her husband, she is involved in theatre activities in Mazury. In 2016, they founded the Chochół Theatre near Świętajno, which presents original performances dedicated to the history and identity of Mazury.
