Halina Burzyńska

She is an actress at the Needed Theatre (formerly the Haz Beszkwej Theatre) and an academic teacher of singing. Before living in the Social Welfare Home in Jonkowo, she worked for thirty-five years as a lecturer in music at the Higher School of Pedagogy in Olsztyn and as a teacher in a music school. She is the author of the books: Zaśpiewaj z nami. Głos dziecka i jego kształcenie w grupach wczesnoszkolnych (Olsztyn, 1987) and Metodyczne ABC nauczyciela muzyki klasy I-III (Olsztyn, 1996). A member of the Haz Beszkwej Theatre from the beginning, she was extremely committed to theatre work. The theatre created in the Social Welfare Home was one of the most important activities in her life. She performed in productions directed by Wacław Sobaszek: Wedding - Public Domain(2009), Iwona poślubiona (2010) (in the role of the Queen) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2011) presented in Jonkowo, Węgajty and Olsztyn. She participated in many activities carried out by the Węgajty Theatre in the Social Welfare Home in Jonkowo - dances, workshops, carolling, Shrovetide, open rehearsals and meetings. In the memories of the Haz Beszkwej Theatre’s co-creators, she remained a charismatic actress and an exceptional stage partner.
