Theatrologist, professor of the Department of Theatre at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (DAMU). She interned at the Laboratory Theatre in 1968 and has been researching Grotowski's theatre and its "nests" ever since. She is the author of the book Hnízdo Grotowského. Na prahu divadelní antropologie (2009). She collaborates with Odin Teatret within the framework of the International School of Theatre Anthropology (ISTA), as well as with the independent theatre groups Farma v jeskyni and Continuo in the role of playwright. She also works on the use of theatre in pedagogy and in the field of theatre for life. In 2005, she received the Czech independent theatre award Living Treasure, and in 2009 she was awarded the Medal for Merit to Polish Culture. She was introduced to the Węgajty Village Theatre in 1991, organising its stay in Prague, where the group was staying at the invitation of the Polish Cultural Centre.
