Actor, singer, musician, director, anthropologist. He was born in Munich and grew up in the mountains of South Tyrol. He studied theatre studies, acting, directing, ethnology, anthropology and French language at the University of Vienna. He has lived and worked in Poland for more than thirty years. He participated in many acting and music internships, including with actors from Jerzy Grotowski’s Laboratory Theatre. He worked at the Gardzienice Centre for Theatre Practices. He collaborated with Marcel Peres and Lykourgos Angelopoulos. He is a co-founder of the Village Theatre "Węgajty", as well as co-founder and, to this day, long-standing artistic director of the Węgajty Schola and of its musical performances. The performances, concerts and liturgical dramas of the Węgajty Schola have been presented in almost all major cities in Poland, as well as in Estonia, Denmark, Greece, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, Germany, Italy, France, Russia, Switzerland, Spain, Serbia, Macedonia, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania and Hungary. Together with his group, he has developed a unique and recognisable performance and stylistic idiom based on archaic and traditional music-theatre workshop techniques. Participant or organiser of many artistic and cultural study expeditions to cultural enclaves in: Poland, Andalusia, Greece, Turkey, Switzerland, Austria, France, Russia, Morocco, Poltava, Moldova, the Carpathians and Romanian Transylvania, as well as in: Corsica, Sardinia, the Balkans, Cyprus and Hutsul. Author of texts published in anthropological and cultural journals. He is also an author, artistic director and manager of important cultural projects.
