Katarzyna Regulska

Author and coordinator of social projects, cultural animator, translator, performer and director (Historie Ziny – 2010). Graduate: specialisation in Cultural Animation at the Institute of Polish Culture at the University of Warsaw, postgraduate studies at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3 and first year of the theatre course at the L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Since 1998, she has been associated with the Węgajty Theatre, where in 2001 she carried out an authorial internship funded by the Department of Culture of the Institute of Polish Culture. During her internship, she organised and led animation, artistic and sports activities for young people from the village of Węgajty and its surroundings, including: ceramics, theatre and capoeira workshops. Co-laureate of one of the two prizes awarded on the tenth anniversary of the Węgajty Theatre/Field Project (2006). Participant of expeditions and workshops of the Other Theatre School, she cooperated in the organisation of the Theatre Village festival. She performed in the production Iwona poślubiona (2) of the Needed Theatre. Since 2009 she has been implementing projects and carrying out activities in the migrant and refugee communities. Originator of the grassroots initiative of Congolese dinners, implemented in 2013 at Emma Hostel. Co-founder and manager of Babel Bar, operating within the Social Cooperative established at the Węgajty Theatre, where refugee women cook their national dishes (multicultural catering and food truck with Chechen cuisine). Co-founder of the Association of Culture Practitioners, board member until 2016. Since 2018 she has been working at the Rescue Foundation, with children's and youth programmes and from September 2021 also as a translator.
