Poet, prose writer, art historian, university lecturer. Graduate of art history at the University of Warsaw. He was a co-founder of the Interdisciplinary Creativity and Research Centre Pracownia "Workshop" in Olsztyn (1977). Author and co-author of many of the Pracownia actions and texts about its activities. He played the role of Gulliver in the play Podróże do wielu odległych krajów świata (1980) created by members of the "Pracownia" Theatre Activities Centre in Węgajty. Together with Wacław Sobaszek, they planned a performance based on Edward Stachura’s Kropka nad Ypsylonem . During the renovation of the theatre hall in Węgajty in 1983, he laid a wooden floor, with the help of others. In 1988-97 he led the Olsztyn Pantomime as its director and artistic manager. Since 1989 he was a lecturer at the A. Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw. In 1999-2002 he was Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Puppetry Art in Białystok. One of the founders and chairman of the chapter of the Dr. Krzysztof Kanigowski Award, granted since 2010 to doctors from Podlasie who cure people, not only disease. He died on 30 September 2020. He is the patron of the theatre hall in Węgajty.
