Piotr Rogaliński

For thirty years he has been involved in activities on the borderline between theatre, music and visual arts. He is the author of many artistic arrangements for historical exhibitions and concerts, including the permanent exhibition at the Museum of Poznań Uprising in Poznań. Based on old patterns, he creates decorations and scenographies for concerts and performances (his latest creation – the scenography for the play directed by Jacek Hałas Harmonia Vulgaris). She specialises in making toys and carolling characters, which she uses as props in her theatre work. He makes sculptures/installations, combining folk motifs with contemporary themes (www.nie-zabawki.pl). For 15 years, he ran theatre classes for young people at the Brittany House in Poznań, producing over a dozen plays that were performed at festivals in Poland and abroad, including Rennes and Naples. As an actor, he has co-created performances in the Theatre Experiences Group, the Theatre Exploration Office and the Studio Czyczkowy Theatre. At the Węgajty Theatre, he played in the performance Synczyzna and powered (as a drummer) the Terenowa Band. He co-founded bands playing traditional music: Gołoborze, Kapela Towarzyska, Odloty. He cooperated with such institutions as: Institute of National Remembrance - Poznań, Museum of Struggle for Independence in Poznań, Brittany House, ZAMEK Cultural Centre in Poznań, Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin, Dom Tańca Association in Poznań, Scena Robocza, Museum of the First Piasts in Lednica.
