Saba Litwińska

She holds a degree in English philology from the University of Warsaw. First and foremost, she is a mother and a child. Secondly, she is a singer, translator and teacher. In 1998-2000 she played in the productions of the Schola of the Węgajty Village Theatre. She collaborated with the Węgajty Theatre/Field Project, even before it adopted this name. She took part in carolling workshops and carolling expeditions, as well as in performances Missa Pagana and The Ghostly Shroud. She sings not only contemporary music, finding suitable contexts, but also songs by John Dowland, old music, baroque music, songs by Alban Berg, Mieczysław Karłowicz and Karol Szymanowski, and recently also Uty japońskie by Piotr Perkowski. He is expanding his repertoire, waiting for a good moment. IMPROVISES. Creates songs. Loves music and is constantly learning to play new instruments. She is looking for people to join an Irish music band. She is currently working on a bilingual The Tempest by Shakespeare in duo with Agnieszka Berger, and has been enchanted by its intoxicating melody and strangeness for years. Perhaps she would prefer dancing instead of these activities? Litwińska always says that she learned what is most important in Węgajty. I guess it's all about presence and encounter. It was there that her eyes, ears and heart opened, and her feet began to dance.
