Painter and illustrator. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw at the Faculty of Painting in the studio of prof. Ludwik Maciąg. In 1981 he founded the Cennino Cennini Painting Workshop in Olsztyn – an independent painting school which trained around 100 graduates, some of whom continued their education at universities. He is fascinated by the techniques of the old masters, in particular Rembrandt. He explores the secrets of working with the quill: its preparation for use and its use for drawing and calligraphy. He is also interested in priming technology – he has developed a technique for making a mirrored gypsum primer. In his own work he is inspired by Native American culture and colonisation, hence the recurring theme of Indians and their tragedy (www.piotrowski.linkonardo.com). He is the creator of over 100,000 drawings. He has written the text Bagna and the stage play Bunkier. He is also the author of a comic book drawn with a quill. He collaborated with the ENETEIA Publishing House on the magazine "ALBO albo" and the Polish Association of Indian Friends on the magazine "Tawacin", as well as with the Indian magazine "Wyspa żółwia". He is active in the Centre for Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation "Certus Via", providing art therapy for the elderly and sick, encouraging them to try painting. He has worked with the Węgajty Theatre since its foundation. Co-author of the sculptures for the play Vincenz's Stories, , author of the eagle and raven masks for the play Kalevala – unwritten fragments. During the Theatre Villages, he led workshops on painting, drawing and bird feather cutting. Many of his drawings were created in Węgajty – he often drew live during the performances.
