Trev Hill
A graduate of the Universities of: Glasgow, Edinburgh and Queen's in Belfast. He worked as a puppeteer and teacher in Glasgow. He first encountered the Węgajty Theatre in 1996 in Macedonia. In November 1998, with his theatre group BestKept Sekret, he staged The Canterbury Tales in Węgajty. In 1999, the BestKept Sekret group took part in the carolling expeditions to Dziadówek and Nowica. In the same year Hill began researching the Węgajty Theatre. In 2000-2001, as an actor of the Węgajty Theatre, he led workshops and took part in expeditions. He co-created the first production of The Węgajty Theatre/Field Project:Kalevala – unwritten fragments. He published academic articles in English on the Węgajty Theatre. He is the author of the book Active Theatre and the Technology of Self: Polish Carolling with Projekt Terenowy of Węgajty Theatre (1998-2001) (2021).
